The facts about car theft in the UK are quite breathtaking....
The UK has the worst vehicle theft problem in Europe. Over 1100 vehicles are stolen every day, virtually one car every minute! And with vehicle fitted security becoming ever increasingly difficult for the thief to compromise, more and more car thefts are now the result of stolen keys and more frighteningly...hi-jacking.
If the worst should happen, with a Tracker unit fitted to your vehicle, the Police have a head start in getting it back!
So what is Tracker and how does it work?
A Tracker unit is a small electronic homing device fitted to your car in any number of covert places. When activated, it will emit a uniquely coded silent tracking signal that the Police can pick up. Tracker Horizon also sends information on the exact street location of the vehicle, using GPS technology.
Tracker is supported by all of the UK's 52 Police Forces, with detection units fitted into Police cars and Helicopters which enable Officers to track and locate your vehicle when stolen. Tracker detectors are also located at fixed sites, such as ports to reduce the chances of exportation.
On location of your stolen vehicle by the Police, Tracker will arrange for a uniformed security guard to wait with your vehicle as they organise it's safe return to you anywhere in mainland Great Britain by the AA, all included in the fitted price!
Tracker units are available for Cars, Vans, HGV's, Caravans, Trailers and Plant equipment, in three different models offering varying levels of security. These are Tracker Retrieve, Tracker Monitor, and Tracker Horizon. Installation is performed by our fully trained engineers at your convenience.
