VEHICLE SECURITY SOLUTIONS SHOW URGES
BUSINESS OPERATORS TO ATTEND

With over 2,700 lorry and lorry load thefts in 2002 estimated to cost the UK £500 million and one in nine of all stolen vehicles being a light commercial vehicle, vehicle security expert TRACKER is advising senior personnel of companies operating all types of vehicles, plant and equipment and those transporting goods to attend the Vehicle Security Solutions Show 2003 to obtain specialist advice on the latest security products designed to combat vehicle theft.

The show will take place on June 24 at the impressive Heritage Motor Centre in Gaydon, Warwickshire from 9.30am till 4pm and from 10am there will be product-briefing sessions that will continue throughout the day. Visitors to the show will be able to examine and discuss in detail the security products on show from a wide range of exhibitors including TRACKER, who will have information on its range of market leading and award winning stolen vehicle recovery systems, TRACKER Retrieve, TRACKER Monitor and TRACKER Horizon.

Michelle McLaughlin, TRACKER's marketing manager said, "TRACKER decided to sponsor the Vehicle Security Solutions Show 2003 as theft of and from all types of business vehicles is a huge and very serious problem in the UK that is proving to be incredibly costly. Senior managers in companies operating vehicles need a forum like this show, whereby they can spend a day looking at the latest technology they can invest in to combat the theft of their vehicles, so as they can continue to operate their businesses efficiently and cost effectively."

Organisers of the show are expecting to attract senior personnel from transport/haulage companies, courier firms, logistics and parcel companies, shippers and freight forwarders, port operators, insurers, loss adjusters, cash in transit vehicle companies, vehicle rental and hire firms, plant and machinery manufacturers and police crime prevention officers.

For more details about pre-registering, log on to www.TRACKER.co.uk or visit the PLC web site at www.plcci.co.uk. For those who pre-register, there will be no entry fee. Visitors on the day will be charged a £30 entrance fee. Delegates who attend the Show will also have free admittance to the Motor Museum, which contains one of the largest collections of historic and British cars in the world. The Show is supported by the Home Office, the Association of Chief Police Officers, the Joint Action Group On Lorry Theft, the Road Haulage Association, the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Thatcham - the Motor Insurance Repair Research Centre.
