The 'Micro' RoadPilot is the world's smallest GPS based speed camera location system but still incorporates the same accuracy and many of the features of the higher specification RoadPilot 'Pro'. The system comprises of 3 seperate components, allowing discreet installation to the vehicle:
- Miniature pedestall mounted LCD unit.
- Independent GPS aerial with a 5 metre cable.
- 2-Way screen mount Laser Detector
The unit features a plug-in cigarette lighter style power connection, which can be removed if hard-wired installation is desired.

How it works
The RoadPilot calculates your exact position and speed using information transmitted from the Global Positioning System satellites which orbit the Earth. The unit also contains a precise database of all known Safety Camera locations and compares the vehicles current position with this database.
As you approach a risk area, the system displays information regarding the speed camera concerned; distance ahead and speed limit. RoadPilot is speed and direction sensitive and will produce warning tones if you are travelling faster than the known speed limit of the up-coming risk area.
Please note: Some vehicles feature athermic windscreens, which are designed to provide solar protection but also limit GPS reception. The GPS aerial supplied will need to be positioned in an area which offers good GPS reception in order for the system to operate correctley.

Subscription and updates
The RoadPilot is supplied with 6 months free database update subscription. At any time, the owner may update the current speed camera location database by connecting the unit to an internet ready PC.
