The subaru Impreza cable driven speedometer converter is a cost effective solution for producing an MPH readout on a speedometer which only has a KMH scale. This is a 2 peice kit which comprises of a short speedometer extension cable and converter assembly.
Installation
To install the converter, remove the vehicle speedometer pod and position the converter between the speedometer cable and speedometer pod cable connection. The speedometer pod is then re-fitted.
After installation, the speedometer will show an MPH reading on the original KMH face scale. A small MPH label is provide to cover the original KMH symbol. No further modifications are required to the speedometer face. Additionally, the vehicle odometer will now increment in miles.
Compatibility
This converter kit is only compatible with:
- Subaru Impreza (most models prior to 1997)
Later models of this vehicle (with digital odometer) have electronic speedometers and will require an electronic speedometer converter.
