The Tracker Horizon system comprises of a small VHF transmitter unit which is covertly installed to one of many different possible locations within the vehicle body or interior. The system also incorporates a GPS receiver which continually transmits the streert level co-ordianates of the vehicle during theft activation.
Tracker Horizon Activation
The Horizon system is activated by Tracker Control on confirmed report of vehicle theft. Once the Horizon unit is activated, it transmits a silent VHF 'Homing' signal which can be received by any of the UK's 52 Police Forces, using vehicles equipped with Police Tracker Computers. These vehicles include Patrol Cars, Helicopters and Aeroplanes. Land based receivers are also deployed at specific ground locations such as Ports and Service Stations.
The Tracker Horizon homing signal also contains precise street level location information, continually defined by the incorporated GPS receiver. This allows Tracker Control to provide the police with map based vehicle location details in addition to the standard directional homing signal.
Tracker Horizon also features a motion sensor which can detect if the vehicle has been moved without using the vehicle keys. An illegal movement of the vehicle by towing or lifting will cause the Horizon unit to auto alert Tracker Control, who will then attempt to confirm the suspected theft with the owner before tracking is initiated.

Guard And Recovery
Included in the subscription charge is the Guard And Recovery service. On the recovery of your vehicle by the police, Tracker will arrange for a uniformed security guard to be sent immediately to wait with your vehicle and ensure its safe return to you by the AA anywhere in mainland Great Britain. This service is applicable to recoveries made from Mainland UK locations only.

Subscription Charges
Subscription is payable by one of two methods:
- Annually by Direct Debit at £ 125 per year
- Duration of ownership payment at £ 350
Please note: Subscription charges are not transferrable to the new owner of the vehicle upon sale. A seperate re-subscription is available to the new vehicle purchaser.
Tracker units are designed for installation to the vehicle for life and are not transferrable from vehicle to vehicle. The balance of a pre-paid annual subscription can be transferred to a new vehicle providing a new Tracker unit is installed to the new vehicle within 12 months of sale or disposal of the original vehicle which the subscription charge applied to.
Lifetime subscriptions can only be transferred to a new Tracker unit within the first 12 months of the subscription period.
