If you are imorting your privately owned vehicle into the UK, we can convert your vehicle to comply with current UK legislation and provide a complete application and registration service on your behalf if required.
The VCA Mutual Recognition criteria requires evidence that the following compliances are met:
The vehicle is fitted with RHD headlamps, compliant with current UK legislation or features switchable or flat beam headlamps as standard.
The vehicle is fitted with side indicators (side repeater lamps) either as standard or retro-fitted.
The vehicle speedometer indicates speed in both KMH and MPH either as standard or retro-fitted.
The vehicle has a compliant rear fog lamp and suitable switch.
The vehicle is fiited with seat belts to all passenger seats.
Should you wish to return your vehicle back to it's original specification in the future for exporting from the UK, we can take care of this for you when required.
After we have converted the vehicle, we can apply for a certificate of compliance from the VCA under the Mutual Recognition scheme providing the conditions below are satisfied:
The vehicle was constructed to EU standards and you have a valid Certificate Of Compliance (CoC) document or equivalent proof.
We can assist you if you do not have a CoC document.
