The CANM8-NAVTONE system was developed to provide a solution for
vehicles which produce the rear parking sensor tone via the factory
fitted audio system speakers.
If the audio system on an affected vehicles is replaced with an
aftermarket system, the rear parking sensor tone is lost and hence the
rear sensors have limited functionality.
The NAVTONE interface detects the original rear parking sensor
activity via the vehicle CAN Bus and reproduces proximity tones via a
miniature tone sounder - restoring full functionality to the rear
parking system.

Installation
The CANM8-NAVTONE unit can be installed to the wiring at the rear of the radio and requires the following connections:
- 12V Permanent power supply.
- 0v Ground connection.
- Vehicle CAN Bus Hi.
- Vehicle CAN Bus Lo.
- Sounder + wire connection.
- Sounder - wire connection.
- Ignition Output
- Speed Pulse Output
- Illumination Output
- Reverse Gear Output
- Parking Brake Output
The interface features automatic CAN activity detection and is activated when reverse gear is selected.
