Using the Palm PDA, simple to follow screens lead you through the process of programming the SpeedM8 to the vehicle:

SpeedM8 programming can be performed easily before or after installation. To begin, simply select the vehicle manufacturer from the on-screen menu.

With the vehicle manufacturer selected, a vehicle model menu is displayed. Touch the appropriate model to select.

The Palm screen now shows the selected vehicle and gives options to proceed with the programming, check which vehicle the converter is already programmed for, or display on-screen help for installing the converter.

By touching the Program button, the user is now prompted with the option to confirm or cancel the programming operation.

The converter is now programmed! The SpeedM8 system confirms the programming for the selected vehicle. If there's a mistake, it's not a problem, simply repeat the selection process and reprogram the converter.

To check speedometer accuracy, simply drive the vehicle; wheel free or using a co-driver and compare the speedometer reading against the 'Virtual Speedometer' reading displayed on the Palm screen. If the vehicle is fitted with a non- standard tyre size, simply enter the new size and the Virtual Speedometer is recalibrated.

The speedometer accuracy can be adjusted instantly, by simply touching the increment or decrement buttons on the Palm screen. The new calibration is permanently stored in the converter, but can be reprogrammed at any time.
